At Health Shield, we believe in recognising and celebrating the hard work and dedication of our employees. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Health Shield's Summer Festival, a day dedicated to fun, appreciation, and camaraderie for the whole team.
The Day's Highlights
Setting the Stage:
Our Head Office was transformed to bring out the summer feeling with bunting, balloons and flags, along with summer games and music. Employees collaborated to create the festival atmosphere, painting signs, and decorating the surroundings with creativity and enthusiasm.
Business Update:
The day commenced with an insightful business update session led by our Executive Team. Reflecting on the accomplishments of the year so far and looking forward towards the second half of the year. The session set a tone of recognition, for all the great work that has been done so far this year, and inspiration, to keep momentum for the remainder of the year.
Culinary Delights:
An essential aspect of any celebration is good food, and our event was no exception. JOJOs, the award-winning fish and chips van, and Vitalianos ice cream were on hand to dish out the delights. There was a selection of chip shop favourites to choose from, followed by a wide variety of delicious ice cream flavours for the festival foodies.
Fun and Games:
The afternoon buzzed with excitement as teams formed to compete in the Summer Quiz. Covering a range of topics from general knowledge to films and music, the quiz included unique tasks orchestrated by Health Shield's very own taskmaster, Alan Murphy, from our marketing team. Activities like "Truths and Lies”, "dance choreography", and "tie the longest laces" brought out the creativity and competitive spirit in everyone. Prizes were awarded for the overall winning team, and for best 'performance' in each task.
Embracing Recognition and Unity
Events like Health Shield's Summer Festival hold immense significance in acknowledging the effort and hard work of the entire Health Shield team. The event brought a sense of togetherness, community and showed our recognition and appreciation for the contribution of each and every individual across the Health Shield team.
